Lit & Libations

This past weekend, my awesome PA and I attending the first ever, Lit & Libations event. It was a very nice event where we got to dress fancy and meet some new readers and authors. We had a great time connecting with others and enjoying the evening. The event was held from 5pm-9pm, which was a huge change from my normal event hours. I really enjoyed the evening idea and it was nice to have time to primp and get ready. Especially since we dressed up. It was meant to be more for a dressy occasion, there was a bar and a snack station. Most of the authors dressed up and it was so nice to see everyone in their fancy wear.

Since I’ve been working on myself, I felt really happy with how I looked in my dress. I’ve never worn anything like this, and was really never comfortable enough with myself to even try. I felt awesome, and was so proud of me for wearing it. A lot of the authors wore darker colors, so i felt even better being brave enough to rock a bright color. Even got a few compliments! I’m definitely looking forward to doing other events with this coordinator. She and her team did a wonderful job. I had a great time, and I got to interact with a lot of new readers!

This event also hosts a magazine! They are donation oriented, but they are here to support local authors. It is so nice to have someone try and get the word out that there are other authors out there besides the big name people. Those big names were once little names like me.
