I’m A Mom!!!

In the beginning of September, I became a mommy!! My twins were born a day earlier than my scheduled C-section, but still via c-section. My little Gremlin and Pirahna were perfect and didn’t need any NICU time! My c-section went really well! I was a little scared as I waited for my partner to join me in the room, but once there, and everything got rolling, it was great! I got to see my baby girls and the first thing I said, “They’re so pretty! I have pretty babies!” Might be bias, but my babies are gorgeous!

For those that don’t know, I had been blessed with gallstones during this pregnancy. The doctors told me they would remove my gallbladder around 6 weeks after I gave birth. Well, apparently my gallbladder had a different plan because the day after giving birth I had a gallstone attack and was in so much pain I couldn’t even hold my babies. After some testing and whatnot, they decided to remove the gallbladder ASAP. So, I had 2 major surgeries in the span of 3 days. The gallbladder was showing necrosis, infection, and was even twisted. What was supposed to be an hour surgery was closer to 4 hours. I was asleep through the whole thing. Hubs told me all about it when I came to.

So, I’m home with my beautiful babies, and healing from both surgeries. The twins are great, and hate sleeping at night. Working on getting them on a better schedule… If you would like to gift them anything, my registry is still up. We actually are using diapers since they are so small, so once they get into size 1, we can switch to the reusable diapers. Right now they are in Preemie and Newborn. Both are breastfed with formula supplemented because I don’t produce enough for these little milk monsters. You are also welcome to get them formula as it is not cheap when I’m feeding 2! LOL! Thanks to all that have supported me. Once I get these babies on a schedule, I’ll be getting back to writing!!
