In the beginning of May I got to go to Branson, MO for the first time ever and be an attending author at another TropiCon event! The space was really nice, and I love hanging out with my author friends!! I even got to spread out and use a second table as the author next to me didn’t show. I didn’t sell a lot, as there were not a lot of readers than ended up showing up. I believe the combined Mother’s Day as well as Graduation weekend made the event difficult for readers to attend. I did get to enjoy hanging out with my friend that I only ever get to see at TropiCon events, as well as do some tourist things like Titanic and Wonder Works. I even went to the Aquarium! It was great!

The few readers I did get fortunate enough to meet were so awesome! I love meeting new people, and I love getting to catch up with author friends. One of the authors next to me was really fun to talk with and hang out with. I had some great helpers at my booth, and managed to get my placard signed by every attending author!!! I got to network a little, though I was tired since I’m pregnant with twins. I mostly stayed at my booth besides bathroom breaks, and chatting with my author friends around me. What is nice about TropiCon events is the 1 hour lunch break for the authors. All readers are asked to leave as well so authors can have a break to eat and chat among each other. I really love that because I get a chance to recenter and get some of my energy back for the next wave of readers. I don’t like getting burnt out and want to give every reader the same attention no matter what time of the day they come to my table.
