First I want to say that I was a little hesitant about going to this event because it was in Florida, and if anyone knows me well, they know I hate the traffic there. I’ve also been stuck going back and forth to Florida since New Years, so another trip was just tiring to think about. That being said, it was EPIC!
The event was so much fun! Lynessa and AJ (the hosts) we amazing! I didn’t notice any kind of issues with anything they did, though I’m friends with them, so I know there were some things that came up. No even is ever going to be 100% perfect. I had so much fun. It was a multi-day event with some panels and 2 days of signing. Sunday was a little slow with the selling of books, but Saturday was busy busy! I also loved that they gave us an hour break for lunch so we weren’t starving and begging for food.

I got to see my favorite model, Kevin. I got to meet one of my favorite big-time authors, Sherrilyn Kenyon. AND I made a new bestie, Renee Jean AKA: Mackenzie Knight. We all got to hang out and spend time relaxing while also meeting new readers and selling our stories to people. I got to meet a ton of new readers and I’m so excited to add them to me life. Events like this really put me back in the writing mood. Makes me want to get my stories done so the readers have more books to enjoy. I didn’t sell out of anything, but I did get a lot of books into the hands of readers. I signed up for next year, and am hoping to clean the waitlist. Those that are signed up, you are going to love this event!

Of course, no trip is complete without finding a Witchy Shop. I look for one in every place I go because I like to see what fun things they have. This place though… this one was special. I had dropped hubs off to hang with a friend and was on my own. Googled “Witchy Shop” and Vedic Moons popped up a mile from where I was. So, of course I had to go check it out. The owner was so kind when I walked in. She gave me a full tour of her shop. She was telling me about all the fun things she offers like yoga and healing classes. I told her I’d love to attend, but I was just passing through. That got us on the topic of why I was in town. I told her I’m an author and she asked what I write. I told her about my paranormal romance. She asked if I had any extra copies on me because she would love to sell them in her shop. Since I just came from TropiCon, I did. She bought 20 of my books to display in her shop! SO FREAKING AWESOME!!
Most of you don’t know, but when I started my writing journey all those years ago, my big dream was to have my books sold in a Witchy Shop. I even went to my local one in Kansas, but the owner turned me down. I had figured no other shop would want my books since they are fiction. NOT THIS PLACE! She was all too happy to have my books. I’m so excited I still can’t believe it. I will promote the crap out of her store! If you are in the Palm Coast area, you need to check it out. She has so much in her shop. I want to attend some of her yoga classes and other things she offers. I already told hubs that next time I’m in Florida, we are stopping in. I don’t even care if it’s out of the way!
