I know it’s a few days past Valentines, but I hope everyone had a great day. Whether it was alone of with a partner, I hope the day was a good one. Hubs and I spent it as we do any other normal day. Mostly because we try to show our unconditional love every day of the year. I’m one of those people that firmly believe that Valentine’s is a Hallmark Card holiday. Now, if we were to study and celebrate the massacre of that day, I might be a little concerned. Either way, Hubs and I didn’t do anything special. We avoided restaurants. I used to work at Olive Garden, and Valentine’s as well as Mother’s Day is the worst, and I would never want to put a server through that.
Hubby got me a second gold dipped rose to go with the one from last year. Last years was red, and this year was purple. I love them because they are forever, and they are something that is easy to display as I’m a hoarder and am trying to de-clutter my house. I get too sentimentally attached to things, so I’m working on disconnecting from objects and just enjoying memories. It’s one of the reasons I’m back to taking pictures as much as I can.
Anyways, I hope the day was at least filled with some chocolate, or other sweet treat. I didn’t have chocolate, but I did have a couple heart shaped gummies. Now, off to do author things and get ready for another signing this weekend!
