Saw this accident on my way home. It was after an epic rain storm! Hit multiple rain storms on the way home from Florida. First in Georgia (I swear I saw a tornado starting), and then a ton from St. Louis to Kansas City. This accident was in Blue Springs area. It was right after a super heavy down pour with shit traffic. I tell ya, I don’t know why there was so much traffic on 70 on a Sunday, but I was bobbin and weavin through idiots that wanted to hang out in the passing lane going UNDER THE SPEED LIMIT! (That’s a story for another post).
One of the things hubs and I watch on YouTube together is Car Crash videos. I have yet to see one on there that I’ve passed by personally, so I’ve started to get into the habit of videoing what I see. From what I could gather on my drive past the accident that had to have happened about 5 minutes before I got to that section, some idiot in the passing lane was going stupid slow, so (like me) the jeep decided to go around on the right because they felt more confident in the weather conditions. The one in the left went to “move over” too late, the jeep slammed on their breaks, hydro-planed, and the other vehicle maybe tapped them causing the roll over. The other vehicle didn’t have any damage I could see, hence I’m going with “tapped”. It wasn’t the weather for people to decide to hit on their road rage. In fact, I’m a firm believer that if you succumb to road rage, you should have your license suspended and have to go through an anger management class before you are allowed to get it back. 80% of accidents happen because someone decides to road rage against someone else that knows how to freaking drive. Just my opinion though.
