Let’s Talk Podcast

I’ve done a couple interviews, but really not many. I believe this will be my 3rd one. My question for you: How do you keep people engaged? I try to have fun and be informative, but I get so nervous talking. Which is weird because I was the lead in Hairspray! I am used to the stage… yet stage freight is still huge with me.

This particular Podcast is an interview because I’m part of a signing next summer. I’m not a super well known author (at least I don’t think I am). I have author friends, and am currently working on getting myself out there more. It’s a job in itself to do all the business side of Author Life. There’s a reason most people have a PA (personal assistant). I won’t lie and say I don’t need one, because I definitely do. However, I also have more free time where I can learn all the background stuff that comes with Author World. Ways to get myself and my books seen and in the hands of readers.

I’ve had a few friends tell me to start my own Podcast, but what would I even talk about? And, that’s another project all its own to keep that going. I have a lot of respect for people that can accomplish all these things. Podcasts, best selling books, multiple signings, still cranking out new stories. It’s very tiring to even think about. I have all I can do to make sure I post something new on my blog every few days as well as sending out a Newsletter once a month. Speaking of, I am planning to redo my Newsletters as well. It’s all a lot to process.
