Let’s Pimp Again

Get Yours Here

Another lovely book I got the pleasure of pre-reading! Finding My Bliss is a medical based romance. It has a snippet of paranormal splashed in as well. Now, I’m not in the medical field (I can’t do blood and needles…). I do know a bit about it as I have many friends that are Nurses, and a cousin that is a Doctor. I have been given some small look into that world from my friends, but not enough to really know those super long terms or sayings. I also never really got into the medical dramas on TV either, but I was really excited to try something new! And let me tell you… IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Carter is a very sexy Doctor that has had to deal with his own traumas the last decade. He is slowly spiraling down, but refuses to admit it. The bane of his existence triggered the start of everything miserable in his life as far as he’s concerned. She’s been gone for said decade until she comes crashing into his life again and pi$$ing him off. Oh, and she can’t just pi$$ him off with her presence… oh no! She has to be a splinter under his skin… Carter is one of those characters you really want to hate, but you just love him so much.

Unity ran away from her problems ten years ago, holding on to so many secrets she thought she would explode. Now, back home to try and rekindle her relationships with her family, she’s stuck between a secret and a never ending hole of failure and fear. She tries to keep it professional; tries to keep taking the blame for something that was truly never her fault. When she finally puts on her big girl panties and accepts that she isn’t truly at fault, the ghosts of her past come back to take her. I enjoyed Unity more than I thought I would. I really wanted to reach into the book and just smack her a couple times.

I’d have to say that (as a paranormal junkie), the paranormal parts were kind of my favorite. They really added an extra level to this story and had you guessing what would happen next. Just when you thought you knew what was going on, something would change instantly and throw you off. I was constantly trying to guess what would happen next, and maybe got lucky twice in the whole book. If you are not someone who understand the medical world (like me), don’t fret! This book is great and really does help you understand a little of the medical world. Brown does a great job with her imagery and descriptions so you don’t feel stupid (I was worried I would not understand anything). I can’t wait to find out what this author comes up with next!
