May the 4th Be With You

Happy Star Wars day you crazy group of awesome people! I spent my day with a group of 4th graders in all day detention, so I didn’t really get to celebrate today. What did you do? My co-worker that didn’t have a room of jail birds did a bunch of fun things that all centered around the Force!

There’s always a lot of back and forth when it comes to Star Wars. I was born in the late 80s, so I grew up on the original 3….which are technically 4,5,6… I do enjoy 1,2,3 on occasion. I did think it was super weird that Anakin was a child in the first and Amidala was in her late teens at the very least. I would say about a 10-12 year difference. I know age is just a number, but it kinda weirded me out because in the 2nd movie he was suddenly in his late teens and she DIDN’T AGE!

Any ways, I was a Yoda fan before the whole Baby Yoda thing. Though R2D2 will always be my favorite. I did think BB8 was super cute, and enjoyed the nostalgia of The Force Awakens. I went and saw it in theaters and hooted when all the OG characters showed up. I watched all the new movies as they came to see how the franchise would spin it. I liked what they did, but nothing can ever beat the first 3 (4,5,6) movies. Remember, back then they didn’t have all the super awesome CGI they have now, and look how great those movies turned out!
