A Little Inspiration

One of the hardest things for anyone, no matter the path they are one, is keeping that belief in yourself. Imposter syndrome is a real thing that myself and a lot of Authors go through. But not just Authors. Really, anyone that finds themselves in a position where they don’t think they are good enough to be apart of that world. They constantly doubt their ability to stand out in the crowd. Well, we are all good enough for whatever we choose to do. At one point in time the people you look up to, that make everything look so easy, we’re sitting right where you are today. I have to keep telling myself that it’s difficult now, but it won’t be forever, as long as I don’t give up. You see, that where the difference lies between being good enough, and not. Those that give up allowed themselves to not be good enough. Don’t ever give up on a dream, no matter how crazy it may seem.

I was listening to some teachers a while back that were saying, “We need to stop telling kids to follow their dreams because they will never get there, then they’ll just be depressed”. That’s horrible advice. They may not reach their dream, but along the way they will find more dreams. Working toward something that may seem unattainable is the entire fun part of life. The adventure that makes life worth living. Telling someone not to follow their dream because they’ll never make it is jealousy in disguise. Those people are jealous of the possibilities you have opened for yourself just for trying. They’re jealous because they were too lazy to keep following their own dreams. So, please, keep following whatever dream you have. Even if you don’t get there, there are so many wonderful things you’ll find along the way.
