Author Besties

I’ve been going to Author Signings for a few years. At every signing I try to meet every author because when I was new to going, I wanted people to want to meet me. I’m not sure how many actually wanted to, so I took my outgoing self and went around making friends. Through those times I’ve been lucky enough to make some amazing friends.

Some of these amazing people I’ve known for a few years. The worst part is that I’m. To able to go to a ton of signings, so if I’m lucky, I’ll get to see an Author Bestie once a year. Some have been a few years since I’ve been able to see them. It’s the reason I enjoy Facebook. It really is the only way I can keep track of what they are up to both in the author world in in their lives. I’m hoping that by focusing on my business, I’ll be able to go to more events and see them more. I’m very excited about Salem in September because I’ll get to see a lot of them since they are scheduled to attend. I’m also really going to work on the taking pictures part. There is no excuse!

Do you have besties like this? Being a former military wife, I have friends in many places of the globe that I don’t get to see. I think that’s why I’m able to cope with not seeing the Author Besties so often. I know that I’ll get to see them again soon.
