Why hello visitors!
I’m sure most of you are used to a super well, put together Author Website. Unfortunately, you won’t find that here. Why? Because I’m just now learning how to do this. A lot of my Author friends have a PA (personal assistant) that runs their websites for them. Or, they have been at this a while and know all the good tricks of the trade. I’m flying solo on this mission currently. At one point in time I had a PA that set this website up. You probably didn’t notice, but the domain website name is actually spelled wrong. I wasn’t able to fix it when I bought the domain.
That’s another thing. Did you know you should buy the domain of your website? I never knew that! I was in the dark for a very long time. I’m still trying to figure this all out. I’m trying to understand the ins and outs of the Author World from a business perspective now, instead of a hobby. I’m not sure if you know, but outside of Author me, I’m a teacher. Perspective is something I am currently teaching to my 4th graders.
My perspective of Author World was that of a hobbyist for a long time. Writing and publishing novels was something I did in my spare time. I wasn’t in it for any kind of compensation except to bring joy to readers. While I still 100% want to do that, I don’t know who or where my readers are. I don’t have very many reviews on any of my books. That is something I’m looking to change. I want to find my people. The ones that love my books and want more from me. The ones that have constructive criticism to give me to make my writing better. The ones here for the long haul, that can one day say “I knew her back when”!
If you are one of those people, bear with me! I’m working on starting a street team. I need ARC readers and reviewers. I’m really going to be diving into my Author Business and growing my brand. I’m all alone on this. (Though, hubby 100% supports me in everything I do). It’s time for me to find you, my readers. Stick around, join my newsletter, follow me on social, and be excited for the fun things coming!
